We sincerely hope that this information is helpful to you in planning your trip to the 2017 Mended Hearts Annual Education and Training Conference.
Hotel Reservations: Please contact the hotel directly regarding your hotel accommodations. The Mended Hearts negotiated room rate is: $149 Single/Double occupancy + $20 for each additional person per room, plus 15.25% state and local taxes (subject to change). Guest room rates are also available three days pre and post the official event dates and based on availability. Reservations must be made by June 12, 2017 to secure the MHI room rate.

Hotel Parking: The Gaylord Opryland offers self-parking and valet parking and is available at the hotel entrance.
Self-parking: $26 per day
Overnight Valet: $34 per day with in/out privileges. Parking is charged to guest room.
Hotel Cancellations: Room cancellations should be made directly with the hotel within five days prior to your arrival date to avoid credit card charges.
On-Site Hotel Services:
Registration must be received at the National office (postmarked or online) no later than May 31, 2017. Forms received prior to May 31, 2017, will receive the early bird rate of $210 per person. This includes: Three luncheons and one reception, participation in general sessions/workshops, take-home resources, and a tote bag filled with conference goodies.
Late Convention Registration:
An additional $50 fee for late registration will be charged for registration forms received after June 1, 2017.
The hotel has been provided with heart-healthy guidelines for meal preparations and will offer healthy options when possible.
Business casual attire is best for conference events. For the special awards dinner, we suggest gentlemen wear a coat and tie, and ladies wear a dress or business attire.
Be sure to remember comfortable walking shoes for touring Nashville. Bring your sunglasses and light backpacks for carrying sunscreen, bottled water and medications. MOST IMPORTANTLY – REMEMBER YOUR CAMERA!

Note: Be sure to have bottled water with you at all times as there are usually 9 hours of bright sunshine each day.
No need to miss your regular morning walks! Join fellow Mended Hearts members, and walk with Jim Oldfield (Chapter 230, Pontiac, Michigan, Ironheart Foundation) for several organized walks throughout the week.
Health screenings will be available at no charge in the exhibit area.
Scooters will be available to rent. In order to provide the vendor an estimated head count, please be sure to indicate scooter needs on your registration form under the “Special Requests” section. Rental costs are $175 for 5 days and must be paid for in advance.
Airport Transportation to and from Gaylord Opryland – 8.3 miles from hotel:
Gaylord Opryland offers daily roundtrip shuttle service from the Nashville International Airport to the hotel. Look for the Gaylord Opryland Welcome Desk on the lower level of the airport between the two escalators. An agent can assist with your travel needs and ticket purchase, or use our kiosk by the welcome desk. If an agent is not available, you can find the resort shuttle immediately to the left as you exit the front door of the lower level of the airport.

- 5 a.m. – 11 p.m. (departs every 30 minutes)
- Daily express shuttle service: 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. (departs every 20 minutes). Based on demand.Cost
- $30 per person, roundtrip fare
- $19 per person, one-way fare
Guests 65 and older and children under 12 receive a discounted rate of $28 for roundtrip fares and $18 for one-way fares per person. Children under 4 are complimentary.
