Living Life in Color: The 2023 Rock Your Scar Photo Content Winners

Since its launch in 2014, the Mended Little Hearts Rock Your Scar® photo contest has grown into one of The Mended Hearts, Inc.’s most popular and high-profile awareness campaigns. Each year, Mended Little Hearts® invites heart heroes of all ages to submit photos showing how they “rock their scar.”

The idea behind the campaign is that by showing their scars — either external or internal — people of all ages with congenital heart disease/defects (CHD) can begin viewing their scars as symbols of strength and empowerment. The campaign also educates others about CHD. Throughout the past eight years, it’s become a powerful tool for raising awareness of the courage and beauty of these heart warriors.

This year’s contest attracted 667 entries and was viewed online a total of 377,690 times. Let’s meet the winners of this year’s contest.
