TAVR Animation Video

TAVR is a treatment option for certain patients who have severe aortic stenosis but are intermediate or greater risk for open heart surgery. This animated video describes aortic stenosis and shows how transcatheter aortic valve replacement is performed through an incision in the leg. TAVR involves risks, the most serious of which include death, stroke, bleeding and vascular complications.
